Belmont Point Capital is an independent placement agent and capital advisory firm serving the private real estate market. We work with a small number of sponsors at a time, and we work as principals, not intermediaries.

Founded in Chicago by a career capital formation professional, the firm brings the standards of the largest global platforms to an independent model: senior attention on every mandate, direct access to decision makers, and candid advice on strategy, positioning, and terms before a single investor meeting is scheduled.

Doug Kinney founded Belmont Point Capital after more than three decades in institutional real estate capital markets, spanning the leading global platforms in the industry.

He spent a decade with the Real Estate Private Fund Group at DLJ and Credit Suisse, where the team raised capital across more than 80 investment vehicles. He went on to serve as Managing Director of global investor relations at The Carlyle Group, Managing Partner co-leading global capital raising at BentallGreenOak, and Head of Institutional Capital at Bluerock, where he built the institutional vertical and structured programmatic ventures with leading institutional investors.

He began his career at Heitman and JMB in portfolio management and real estate securities.
